The CIS’s (China Instrument and Control Society) Academic Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony was held in Shanghai recently. A "Rehabilitation and Strength Enhancement Technology and Application Based on Human-Machine Coupling Cooperative Control" jointly completed by RoboCT, Beihang University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Chinese PLA General Hospital won the first prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award.

The Science and Technology Award of CIS is an authoritative award, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and issued by the National Science and Technology Award Work Office. The award-winning project, “Rehabilitation and Strength Enhancement Technology and Application Based on Human-Machine Coupling and Cooperative Control, " started from three aspects: intention recognition, cooperative control, and master-slave follow-up, and proposed a solution to the bottleneck problem of the exoskeleton, to facilitate sustainable development.

The project applies the human motion intention recognition method based on multi-source data fusion to realize the precise perception and prediction of interaction force by smart sensors. Also, through human-machine coupling and cooperative control, the rehabilitation effect on patients with hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, elderly, weak, and disabled is improved by scientific rehab exercise and evaluation. More importantly, the application meets the demand for master-slave follow-up mode and breaks through the heavy-duty man-machine collaborative motion technology.

The "Motion Rehabilitation and Strength Enhancement Technology and Application Based on Human-Machine Coupling Cooperative Control" project integrates multidisciplinary research and applications including exoskeleton dynamics, human biomechanics, and human-machine nonlinear mechanics; has obtained more than 50 authorized invention patents, more than 90 utility model patents; 130 related papers have been published, including 66 SCI papers, which have been clinically used in 350+ hospitals across the country.

In fact, under the overall layout of China’s "Science and Technology Innovation", the CIS has always attached great importance to promoting the integration of science and technology, and the economy. The original intention of the Science and Technology Award is also to promote the development of disciplines around the three major directions of scientific instruments, sensors, and intelligent manufacturing. RoboCT also hopes to contribute to the development of technological innovation by actively participating in industrial exchanges.

As a national high-tech enterprise, RoboCT attaches great importance to scientific and technological innovation. It has been actively expanding industry-university-research cooperation, giving full play to the company's market-oriented advantages, and constantly seeking breakthroughs in intelligent perception and intelligent manufacturing to create products that are beneficial to life and health. RoboCT has a solid academic and scientific research cooperation foundation, an excellent technological innovation strength, and high-level marketization capabilities, and will surely be able to coordinate intelligent control and take the lead.
