On March 26, the International Robotics Innovation and Standardization Summit (IRIS) was held in Huzhou, co-organized by Huzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration, Huzhou Wuxing District Intelligent Robot Innovation Institute, and Zhejiang University Huzhou Research Institute, and co-sponsored by ISO TC299 (Robotics) and IEC TC62 (Medical Equipment, Software Systems). Zhao Qingyu, co-founder of RoboCT Technology, participated in the summit roundtable discussion and shared China's first experience in rehab robot certification.
This summit focused on core values such as robot safety, human-machine collaboration and robot testing, and attracted more than 80 standardization experts and robot industry chain enterprise representatives from the UK, Switzerland, Belgium and other countries and regions to attend the summit. During the roundtable discussion, experts discussed topics such as the internationalization path of Chinese standards and the application of medical robots.
ZHAO Qingyu shared at the summit how the company has successfully developed multiple series of internationally competitive rehab exoskeleton products with its independently developed core technology and obtained the first domestic rehabilitation robot certification. RoboCT Technology has been deeply involved in the formulation of domestic industry standards and international ISO standards such as "Medical Lower Limb Exoskeleton Robot", filling the gap in technical specifications in the field of rehabilitation robots and promoting the industry from "experience-driven" to "standard-driven". Standardization is the cornerstone of technology implementation and an accelerator for industrial upgrading.
In the global layout, RoboCT took the lead in passing IEC standard certification and CE certification, opening the door to the EU and Southeast Asian markets with full-dimensional compliance certification such as electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility. In 2025, RoboCT have entered many well-known hospitals in Thailand with its star products, empowering the upgrading of overseas rehabilitation services. ZHAO Qingyu also called on the entire industry to work together to strengthen the deep integration of production, education, research and application, and accelerate the innovation and application promotion of rehabilitation robotics. RoboCT Technology is willing to work with industry peers to connect the world with Chinese standards and redefine the future of rehabilitation with technology!
